Too much about money, not enough about God
What changes did Martin Luther want made?
~the church should be more equal
~people should be able to read the bible in their own language
~religion shouldn’t be about money
How did people react to Martin Luther?
Church: mad, because they want money
Public: start debating, church splits.
Give a difference between Protestantism and Catholicism in the 16th century
Catholics: priests must not marry, the pope is head of the church.
Protestants: ministers can marry, the local ruler should control the church.

When religion in England was reformed.

What was the Act of Supremacy?
It made the king the “supreme head of the Church of England.”
