DNA
DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid.

Nucleic Acid Definition
Any of the various complex organic acids (as DNA or mRNA) that are composed of nucleotide chains
Nucleic Acid Process
Nucleic acids are essential to all known forms of life. They are known as “information molecules” as they contain the inherited code for making proteins and controlling cellular activites. The primary nucleic acid is DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). The other important form of nucleic acid is ribonucleic acid (RNA).
Polypeptide Chain
Protein
Any of a class of nitrogenous organic compounds composed of one or more long chains of amino acids and are an essential part of all living organisms.
