Gentamicin, amikacin: gram negative cover: h. influenzae, e.coli, klebsiella, proteus, ESBL-producing, enterobacter, pseudomonas

Macrolides (Azithromycin, Clarithromycin, Erythromycin)

What do macrolides cover?
Azithromycin and clarithromycin: h.influenzae, Anaerobes, atypicals
Erythromycin: Atypicals only
What does clindamycin cover?
Anaerobes, and gram positive only: MSSA, streptococcus
What does linezolid cover?
Gram positives only.
