When to refer for 2 WW for prostate cancer?
A
Digital rectal examination (DRE) reveals a hard, nodular prostate (suggestive of cancer)
PSA levels are above the age-specific reference range. For men 50-69 this is 3.0 nanogram/mL or higher.

When do you perform PSA levels in prostate cancer/BPH?
A
Test implications/indications for PSA need to be discussed with the patient first.
PSA not specific, can be elevated in:
- recent ejaculation
- prostatitis
- BPH
- UTI
