The main character in a work

A protagonist who has the opposite of the more traditional traits of a hero

Second most important character; after the protagonist

Character, force or collector of forces that oppose the protagonist- gives rise to conflict in the story

A character who undergoes significant developments or changes

Series of events that which further complicate the the problem or adds to the tension of the story

The highest point of tension , resulting from a significant decision or turning point

A series of events leading towards the conclusion
What is the resolution?
The final outcomes of the main dramatic complication of the story
What is an open ending?
Narrative does not offer a denouement, questions are created and the plot is left unanswered
What is a closed ending?
The narrative offers a complete denouement

When the story moved back to an earlier time in the story’s timeline

The story progresses following the passage of time
