Phonetic checkmark in search
When unsure of spelling use phonetic to search for anything that spell and sound similar
what to use for multiword person name and address (fast find)
Underscore_ used between multiword surname. Also applies for fast search of address (street name)
Multi-word name: unit (fast find)
PROS reverts unit name to person name without underscore. Make sure to use underscore between multi-name
Ordering
Double click on column name to order values in alphabetically, ascending/descending, group together, etc.
OCC tab on person window shows

on status bar. fields with error code will be highlighted when clicking on error codes and will be cleared automatically once fixed. sometimes will get both yellow and blue. fix the yellow and the blue will be cleared automatically.
UCR manual fill weapon field
fill out the most serious weapon in the criminal offence occ. need to be documented whether the weapon has been used or not. this can be different from victim report where the weapon that cause injuries is reported
when to update a ucr incident
- change to person classification (charged, suspect chargeable, victim-crime against person) 2. charges entered/updated 3. clearance status changes 4. change in property status (classification of stolen added) 5. change to vehicle recovery status
