Who was the first Prophet?
Both Sunni and Shia Islam believe that Adam was the first human and the first prophet
– Some Muslims think that Adam built the Kaaba
– Adam was given knowledge to pass on to the human race
– He was created from Clay and was given the power to think logically
Who is Isa?
Isa or Jesus in Christianity was one of the most of my Prophets in Islam because he was the son of the most admired woman in Islam called Maryam
– In Islam he is not the son of God, he was not crucified, and did not resurrect
– It is said that he will return to earth just before the day of judgement
Who is Musa?
Musa Who is also known as Moses in Christianity and Judaism was the one prophet who is known to have spoken with Allah directly
-He preached idolatry the belief that there only is one God
– He was given the Torah also known as the Tawrat in Islam
– Was a Rasul
What is a Rasul?
Someone who was given a holy book by God
Who was Ibrihim?
Ibrihim Also known as Abraham is one of the main Prophets in Islam
– He refused to worship idols and worship only one God
– It is said that he rebuilt the Kaaba after the great flood
– He had his faith tested by God to show Muslims that they must be prepared to test their faith in the same way he had
What does the Seal of the Prophets mean?
That there can be no more prophets
Who is Muhammad
– One of the main people in Islam
– The Quran was given to him by God
– Because the Quran is infallible the word cannot be distorted so there is no use for more prophets
– Muslims believe that the Torah scroll in Judaism and the Bible in Christianity contain part of gods revelation but not enough to serve him correctly
– Because Mohammed restored Islam to what God wanted it to be Muslims believe that it can never go wrong again
