Additive identity
0+ any number=itself
Multiplicative identity
Any number times 1=itself
Multiplicative property of 0
Any number times 0= 0
Substitution
If A=B then A may be substituted for B
Multiplicative Inverse
A /B * B/A=B/A*A/B=1
Reflective Property of Equality
A=A any quantity is equal to itself
Symmetric Property of Equality
If A=B then B=A. If one quantity equals a second quantity, the second quantity equals the first quantity.
Transitive Property of Equality
For any numbers A, B, and C, if A=B and B=C then A=C. If one quantity equals a second quantity and the second equals the third then the first equals the third.
