Each owner holds an undivided fractional interest and they share the unity of possession.
With Tenancy in common: 2
Any of the owners can convey their share of the property but they cannot convey the entire property without the consent and engagement of the other co-owners.
With Tenancy in common: 3
There is no inherent right of survivorship meaning that if one of the co-owners dies, their portion of the property does not automatically convey to the remaining co-owner.
Example of Tenancy in common
Surviving co-owners; unless they are named in the will or are the heirs as there is not a Right of Inheritance with Tenancy in Common.
