What is a Proof of service
proof of service is a doc declaring that a true and correct copy of the og doc to which it is attached was served on all parties or their cousel.
When is proof of service done
After personal service on initial plgs-summons/complaint a copy of every pldg must be served on opposing counsel
What types of proofs of service are there?
POS by mail, hand delivery, express mail, email and fax.
Proof of service practice tips
Prepare a form POS for each case, leaving the doc title and date of service blank-if additional parties are subsequently added or a change of address is needed update the POS accordingly.
What does EFSP stand for?
Electronic filing service provider that is approved by the court

An entity that receives an eFiling from an efiler for the retransmission to the ct for the eservice on other parties or persons
Proposed Order may be filed
Electronically as set forth in CRC 3.1312. a prop order is a doc that states the actions to be taken which the filer is seeking. This proposed order once signed by the judge becomes officially an Order
Time computations of Efiled documents received by the court
Doc recv’d by the ct betw 12 adn 11:59 AM on a court day are deemed filed on that court day.
Docs filed on a non court day are deemed
to have been filed on the next court day. [CCP 1010.6(b)
What happens to rejected documents
rejected documents must be corrected and resubmitted as a new filing and depending on the reason for rejection, may have to be Eserved again.
