Personal Pronouns
Replace the name of a specific object, place or person. They can be
1st person singular/plural- I/we
2nd person singular/plural- you/you
3rd person similar/plural- he/him or they/them
Possessive pronoun
Show possession of an object/ thing.
1st person singular/plural- mine/ours
2nd person singular/plural- yours/ yours
3rd person singular/ plural- his/theirs
Reflexive pronouns
Helps the reader to realise the subject is the same as the object. Ends in self/selves
1st person singular/plural- myself/ourselves
2nd person singular/plural- yourself/yourselves
3rd person singular-plural- himself/ themselves
Demonstrative pronoun
Points at something or someone.
Eg) this, that
Indefinite pronoun
Doesn’t refer to a specific person or thing its very general.
Eg) everything and anything
Relative pronouns
Link words together in a sentence.
Eg) who, whom
