what is projectile motion?
launching something in the air w/o anything acting on it except gravity
anything thrown will make what shape?
what are the two things we can look for?
1) parabolic shape
2) we can look for how far did It go vertical = y and horizontally = x
things when looking for horizontal = x
(basically what’s the acceleration)
how many variables are needed?
1) x = distance
2) acceleration of x = 0
3) time
4) velocity (vi,vf)
5) angle Θ

1) x = vi cos Θ t
2) y = vi sin Θ t 1/2 a t^2
when pulling vertically what’s being wasted?
energy pulling it vertically b/c the only way the object is moving when pulled vertically is horizontally
