A

-CPM calculates the longest path of planned activities and therefore determines the shortest time to complete the project.

steps of CPM

A
  1. compile a list of all activities required to complete the project
  2. estimate the time that each activity will take to complete
  3. identify the dependancies between the activities
  4. identify logical checkpoints such as milestones or deliverable items
  5. identify the longest path through the network of activites (this is the critical path)
