  • high chance of overlapping work among departments
  • Project-based organisation
    + responsive to new requirements
    + new people can be hired
    + there’s no idle time for the project members
  • team cannot be assembled rapidly nad hiring can be difficult
  • Matrix organisation
    + teams for projects can be quickly assembled
    + expertise can be applied to different projects if needed
  • team members often not familiar with each other, have different working styles
  • multiple projects can be difficult for team members
  • DOUBLE BOSS problem, team member must respond to two different bosses with different focuses
