- In 1925 there were more speakeasies than there were legal saloons in 1919

Why was Prohibition later repealed?
A
- Lack of support/authorities found it difficult to enforce
- Not enough agents/ 1:12 agents corrupt
- Led organised crime/St Valentines Day Massacre
- Lost America Vital taxes/ America would lose large amount of taxes by banning alcohol
