Law that removes harmful ingredients in food and labels ingredients on all packaged food products. Regulates manufacturing and transporting of food products.

Provided services to the urban poor and European immigrants

A person who fights for women’s rights
Sherman Anti-Trust Act
Aimed to break up monopolies and promote fair competition
Push Factor
A negative aspect of a place that causes someone might leave their home
Pull Factor
A positive aspect of a place that attracts someone to it
Ellis Island
Immigration centre from 1892-1954. 12-15 million immigrants were processed. They were checked by doctors and had to answer questions.

To change to fit in or adapt to a new place or culture
