Normal Takeoff

A

PF: “Check Thrust”
-Verify Thrust Levers in TOGA Detent

-No Later than 60 KTs

  • The PFwill advance the thrust levers until greater than 40% N1, allowing the engines to stabilize then advance the Thrust Levers until >50°TLA,allowing the ATto engage.
  • Once the engines are at TOGA thrust, the PF will call “Check Thrust”. The PM will verify that the AT is engaged, Thrust is at the N1 carats, and ATTCS is green, then respond “Thrust Checked” before 60KIAS.

  • The FO may call “Abort, Abort” for an Engine Fire/Failure. All other malfunctions should be brought to the attention of the CA.
  • NOTE: If the FO is the PF they will remain on the controls until the CA states “I have the controls”
  • FO advises tower after transfer of controls
  • CA performs the abort procedure by bringing the throttles to IDLE or REVERSE
  • CA my elect to take control above 60KTs to allow FO to perform duties
  • Use CRM for Emergency or Abnormal Procedures as required
  • NOTE: If evacuation is necessary, follow Emergency Evacuation EPC procedures

*PM will complete commanded EPC or QRH procedure.
*Once cockpit duties have been split, the PF may contact ATC and declare an emergency
