Task Force on Professionalism

A

Second group formed

Two medical students from each class

They determine how professionalism should be practiced (culture of profesionalism)

What are the actions that characterized professionalsm

They work with the curriculum team to come up with rules of what should be expected. Meet monthly since Sept. 2010 and review published material on professionalism and model systems and curriculum development

Reviewed the AMA, AAMC, and the ABIM goals and objectives for professionalism

Nomination based on professionalism and behavior

the selection process was completed by the students in May 2012 and will be completed by the Assistant Dean and Dean before the end of June 2012 so this honor can be included in the Dean’s letter.
