How will we improve productivity?

A

If we can increase output, while keeping the input the same we will improve productivity.
Improving productivity is not about working harder or more, it is about working smarter.

What are the advantages of improving productivity, and explain each.

A

Business- higher productivity means more outputs for less inputs, this will lead to greater profit.
Government- more profits for the business mean more tax income for the government.
Consumers- higher productivity may lead to lower prices for goods and services.
Workers- if productivity increases, workers can earn higher wages and increase their standard of living.

How can we improve productivity?

A

-workers should be trained to improve work productivity.
-literacy rate and skills level in South Africa have to be improved.
-Reduce government spending(on unnecessary items) and corruption.
Tax money can then be used to improve infrastructure, that will further improve productivity and standard of living.
