brand loyalty
Drawbacks of job production? (3)
low productivity
high raw material costs
training expensive
Benefits of batch production? (3)
economies of scale
consistant in quality
high productivity
Drawbacks of batch production? (3)
high labour cost
potential high wastage
loss of productivity when changing batch
Benefits of flow production? (3)
24/7 productivity
LT wage fixed
consistent quality
Drawbacks of flow production? (4)
tech expensive
break down costs
emissions unethical
break downs effect productivity
Benefits of cell production? (3)
More efficient use of space, less reliant on conveyer belt
Production more flexible, multi skilling
Tech break down, less effected
Encourages team work, Maslow
Drawbacks of cell production? (3)
more pressure on workers
expensive machinery
not as productive as flow production
What is the calculation for Labour productivity?
output per period (units) / number of employees at work
