Product structure Flashcards
Vad är en cykel?
A complex assembly of different components and maybe different raw materials.
Production structure
Product structure specifyes how a product is designed
Och kvantiteten av varje ingående artikel
Hur komplex produkten är
Kan åskådliggöras i from av ett träd
Structural depth
Affects operative control of materials
Hur minskar man Structural depth?
Hur minskar man Structural breadth?
Breadth reduced by integrating wheels into frame and front set.
Coordination problems =>
probability of shortage
increases
Why is it good to limit the product range?
- Less administration
- Simplified control
- Better delivery service
- Simplified forecasting
- Less tied up capital
- Efficient resource utilisation

– Products similar from a manufacturing point of view
Product range (product range)
– The company’s total range of products
BOM?
Specification of how products and articles
– are structured
– manufactured
* Basis for product calculation
* Used when reserving materials when ordering
* Prerequisite for certain material planning methods
