32
Q

What is binaural directionality?

A

Continuous e2e exchange of data about the environment optimises polar patterns and mic settings in any listening situation - omni/ omni, split omni/directional, directional/directional.

33
Q

What is binaural directionality III?

A

Continuous e2e exchange of data about the environment optimises polar patterns and mic settings in any listening situation - omni/ omni, split omni/directional, directional/directional.

Includes spatial sense.

34
Q

What is 360 all around?

A

Uses a high resolution beamformer and widens the sound environment mapping around the user to automatically adjust the directional microphone patterns according to a binaural hearing strategy.

May use M&RIE or Spatial Sense for spatial cue preservation.
XD9

35
Q

What is all access directionality?

A

Automatically adjusts directional microphone patterns according to a binaural listening strategy.

The environmental classifier monitors the acoustic environment and automatically switches between three different strategies (spatial cue preservation, binaural listening, speech intelligibility).

Uses the binaural beamformer across the speech range (500 - 5000Hz)

36
Q

What is soft switching?

A

Uses e2e communication along with acoustic analysis of the listening environment to control whether the hearing aid processes sound in an omnidirectional or directional mode using slow and comfortable transitions.

37
Q

What is multiscope directionality?

A

Adaptive directionality that allows the width of the directional beam to be set in the fitting software - depending on the strength of the speech signal in front of the user - making the area of focus larger or smaller (narrow, medium, wide)

38
Q

What is front focus?

A

Narrow directional program to improve speech clarity in Noise

39
Q

What is Noise Tracker II?

A

ReSound Noise Tracker II overcomes the limitations of modulation-based noise reduction systems.

Because of the accuracy with which is identifies speech and noise, it excels in its ability to reduce unwanted noise from the incoming signal without affecting audibility of speech or sound quality.

With Noise Tracker II, the ReSound hearing instrument wearer can hear desired sounds while noise is kept at comfortable levels to allow a natural listening experience.

40
Q

Which Hearing Australia devices are bimodally compatible?

A

XA, XB, XD devices
Level 7 and Level 9
BTE’s and RIE’s
