A person commits an offence if he enters into or becomes concerned in an arrangement which he knows or suspects facilitates (by whatever means) the acquisition, retention, use or control of criminal property by or on behalf of another person.

Acquisition, Use and Possession of Criminal Property

A

A person commits an offence if he:

a) Acquires criminal property;
a) Uses criminal property;
b) Has possession of criminal property.

This offence is only committed where a person knows or suspects that the property which is acquired etc constitutes· or represents his own or another’s benefit from criminal conduct.

A

Criminal conduct is conduct which constitutes an offence in any part of the United Kingdom, or would constitute an offence in any part of the United Kingdom if it occurred there. Effectively this states that any offence, committed by any person, anywhere at all and at any time is ‘criminal conduct’.
