What are some things to take into consideration when imaging a patient with a fractured extremity?
A
- Support the injured limb and both joints (if the extremity must be lifted)
- Take cross-table images if possible (to avoid moving the injured extremity)
- If a true AP & lateral cannot be obtained, take 2 oblique projections 90 degrees apart
