Procedures Flashcards
Engine Warm up
When the engines have been shut down for
+ 2 hrs (828AX)
+1.5hrs (846AX / 819AX)
Run the engines for at least 5 minutes
When taxi time is less than 5 minutes
Start the engines as early as possible
When running the engines (power setting)
Use thrust setting normally used for taxi operations
Engine Cool Down operations
Run the engines for 60 seconds/1min
Autostart Abort for these conditions
No EGT rise
Hot Start
Hung Start
No N1 rotation
Compressor Stall
Starter shaft failure
Low starter air pressure
Start time that exceeds duty cycle time
Autostart does not monitor
Oil Pressure or Oil Temperature
Aborted engine start checklist for the following abort start conditions
No oil pressure indication after EGT increases
Icing conditions ground
OAT 10C with visible moisture
Icing conditions in flight
TAT 10c with visible moisture
Do not use engine anti-ice on the ground
OAT is plus 10c
Do not use wing anti-ice in the air
TAT is plus 10c
When temp is below -40c on the ground
Engine anti-ice is not required
Engine anti-ice use when icing is present
Engine anti-ice must be selected immediately after both engines are started
Inflight icing conditions
Must be in Auto or ON during all flight operations except when temp is below -40c SAT
When engine icing is required and the OAT is 3c or below
Do an engine runup as needed to minimize ice buildup.
