Laceration repairs

A

Are coded by type and site, ie complex, intermediate, simple. Repairs within the same anatomical location are added together. Ie abdomen and buttox are a part of the trunk, so it is added. Arms and scalp, added. Mod 59 is used when more then one classification of laceration is reported.
