Personal force:
Evil is a personal being (devil) that forces people to do evil in Christianity Satan is the source of all evil the opposite of God who is all good. The devil is seen as someone who tricks people into doing evil.
Impersonal force:
Evil seems to be a source that draws people
into Doing wrong/ beyond a persons control / too powerful to resist despite knowing that one should do so for example an addiction in contrast with a personal force
Psychological phenomenon:
Explain action of evil comes from a study of human behaviour , influenced by a person upbringing or society in general or the result of a damaged mind. Young people can be influenced bye ur friends through peer pressure even if they know it’s wrong. Society itself influences the way people act. The emphasis in the media on being rich ,famous and beautiful can cause people to act in certain ways that are not always good for themselves or others.

The problem of evil : definition
Evil causes suffering / if God is all-good why did God create a world in which evil exists? Theists also believe God benevolent, omniscient and omnipotent / if God is omniscient, why does God allow people to have free will if he knows that sometimes they will choose to do evil? Some believers say everything that happens is Gods will ,so does this mean Hod wants evil to happen? / why did God create a world where natural evil takes place through earthquakes etc. / why can he not intervene to protect people from such dangers - if he is all powerful he should stop it /. God can either not stop it - so weak or allows it to happen so not all loving - or doesn’t know so not all knowing
