What problems did king john have?
A
He lost land in France (even Normandy). He got the nickname soft sword. He kept increasing taxes as he needed to pay for the wars he lost. John even taxed sons as soon as their fathers died. He argued with the pope and closed the church for 7 years. John was also very cruel as he even killed his nephew in a drunken rage.

Who actually killed Becket
A
I think that the knights and the king where responsible for Thomas’s death as when the king sent for Becket to be killed, he didn’t actually mean it but the knights thought he was serious so murdered him. Thomas’s death was just a miss understanding that went wrong.
