Priority Code 1
LESS THAN 5 MINUTES ELAPSED - Calls for service which are critical and in progress, where immediate intervention is required to avert personal injury, or where prompt arrival is necessary to effect criminal apprehension. Calls assigned immediately via VOR (Voice Over Radio
Priority Code 2
5 - 10 MIN ELAPSED - Calls for service which may be urgent in nature requiring a quick police response. These calls have a potential, but no imminent risk of personal injury. Calls assigned immediately via VOR.
Priority Code 3
Calls for service which are non-emergent calls for law enforcement service, or reports of a crime where there is no immediate threat to the safety of persons and property. Assigned to the area responsible unit via VOR or MDC.
Priority Code 4
All self-initiated activities ignited activities by a field unit via VOR. Calls that may require action by patrol units as time allows. Units may be deferred to other calls as needed with minimal effect.
Priority Code 5
All reports taken by the phone reporting deputy (PRD) during business hours. Calls w/o suspect info.
After hours may be handled by any field unit via MDC or VOR.
