What does individual needs mean?
Individual needs is taking into consideration the needs of people and how they can train to improve their strength/fitness. If you were to follow somebody else’s training programme, then it might not benefit you body as much.
What is Specificity?
Specificity is looking at your own individual training method and specifying what is needed to improve the players abilities.
What is weight?
Involves lifting weight to increase the strength of muscles
What is Progressive overload?
Progressive overload is gradually increasing the amount of overload to improve fitness.
Overload does not mean drastically change your training programme as you can get injured if you do too much.
What is the FITT principle?
The FITT principle enables you to plan an exercise programme to get the most out of it as safely as possible. F requency (how often) I ntensity (how hard) T ime (how long) T ype (what method)

What is continuous training?
Aerobic exercise at a moderate to high level with no rest.
What is Plyometric training ?
Exercises where muscles use maximum force at short intervals of time

A method of training for runners when the terrain is constantly changing
