Symmetrical Balance (Formal) - created by using elements of art equally on either side of a composition.
Asymmetrical Balance (Informal) - created by using elements of art unequally on either side of a composition.
Radial Balance created by using elements of art equally around center of a composition
Name and describe the forms of pattern.
Regular or Planned - elements are repeated the same way with accuracy
Irregular or Random - repeating but in no particular order, not in rows or lines, size may vary.
Radial pattern – patterns that revolve around a center point

Rule of Thirds - placing your focal point 1/3 the width of the composition from either side and 1/3 the height of the
painting from the top or bottom of the composition

Clustering - Placing elements or objects close together
