What is democracy
Democracy is a system of government in which laws, policies, leadership, and major undertakings are directly or indirectly decided by the adult citizens of the country. The word comes from the Greek words demos - meaning people and kratos - meaning rule. This basically means the rule of the people.
What is direct democracy
Direct democracy is a form of government in which the right to participate in in making political decisions is given to all citizens, under procedures of majority rule.
What is representative democracy
Representative democracy is a form of government in which citizens have the same right of participation in political decisions. This is not done in person, but using a representative.
What is liberal democracy
Liberal democracy is a form of representative democracy which was developed to counter the disadvantages of the minority to include all people.
What is a constitutional monarchy
Constitutional monarchy is a system of government where the monarch is the head of state and the power of the monarch is determined by the Constitution.
What is constitution
The constitution provides basic rules and framework for the government. Its the powers, processes, and procedures in the government. It can be in two forms - written and unwritten.
What is constitutionalism
Constitutionalism is the doctrine that a government’s authority is determined by a body of laws or constitution.
