Patient history
If the patient shows problem while asssessment what flag does it fall in?
Red Flag
If the patient shows abnormal findings and symptoms what flag does it fall in?
Yellow Flag
When the Patient comes in the clinic PT should start assessing the posture, walking, and the body of the pt.
Observation
Abnormally stiff, interrupted or rigid movement while moving the joint or body from on position to an other?
Guarding
A stationary position in which a fully extended limb supports and maintains an abnormal distribution of weight.
Bracing
Any contact between hand and injured area (i.e., touching, rubbing, or holding the painful area)
Rubbing
Obvious facial expression of pain that may include furrowed brow, narrowed eyes tightened lips, cornes of mouth pulled back and clenched teeth.
Grimacing
Obvious exaggerated exhalation of air usually accompanied by the shoulders first rising and then falling; pt’s may expand their cheeks first.
