Describe Economy Grade
Minimum allowable work standard for quality, materials and installation. For rooms not seen by the public
Private control rooms
utility rooms, storage rooms and mechanical rooms.
Describe Custom Grade
Minimum standards for quality, materials and installation for MOST high-quality architectural projects.
Grade most often used for millwork seen by the public
Describe Premium Grade
Highest work standard for quality, materials and installation.
Used for showpiece areas that require a high quality appearance.
Examples: Board rooms, Reception desks etc..
Internal construction not seen by the public may be what grade?
Economy
What can happen if a joint is to tight?
It may be compromised in strength because to much adhesive will be forced from the joint during assembly
When applying Glue to a closed mortise and tenon joint how do you apply the glue
Adequate glue to the inside of the mortise and lighter brushing to the tenon.
Adding glue to wood causes?
Moisture absorption and swelling of the surrounding wood.
Ensure adequate time for boards to dry before planing or it might result in a sunken joint.
Best way to loosen clamps?
Loosen all clamps partially in increments
Will keep you project from cracking from to much pressure on one side or another.
