What are the components of history taking in the primary survey?
A
- get relevant history from the patient
- relevant history gathered in relation to the incident
- Uses patient/medication history to inform management decisions

What are the components of airway management in the primary survey?
A
- initial visual inspection (if needed)
- appropriate use of laryngoscopy
- appropriate devices and or techniques selected
- demonstrates appropriate placement
- appropriate checking of the device, confirm placement
- Device secured and patency monitored

What are the components of ventilation and oxygenation in the primary survey?
A
- assessment of respiratory function performed
- supported (incl. oxygen) as appropriate and to clinical need
- ventilation volume and rate appropriate
- cessation of airway toiletry device (sunction?)

A
- controls all life threatening haemorrhage

- identify cardiac arrest in a timely manner
- 1st shock within 90 secs of identify cardiac arrest
- performs and ensures adequate and continuous ECC
- Repeats DCCS (PRN)
