larger than a papule; large ones are tumors; raised solid lesion extends into dermis

Fleeting skin elevation that is irregularly shaped because of edema

A
Elevated, sharply defined lesion containing serous fluid (chickenpox)

A
Large, elevated, fluid filled greater than 1 cm

A
Elevated, thick-walled lesion containing fluid or semisolid matter

Pustule
A
Elevated lesion less than 1 cm containing purulent material. Lesions larger than 1 cm are described as boils, abscesses, or furuncles (acne or impetigo)
