pulsatile over temporal of frontal area
GI disturbance: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, photophobia and phonophobia
aggravated by physical activity and relieved by sleep
Migraine with aura
10%
preceded by an aura (visual, sensory, or motor)
premonitory symptoms: tiredness, difficulty concentrating and autonomic features
Visual disturbance in migraine with aura
negative phenomena -hemianopia and scotoma
positive phenomena - fortification spectra ( seeing zigzag lines)
Uncommon forms of migraine
familial hemiplegic migraine
sporadic hemiplegic migraine
basilar-type migraine
Periodic syndromes
