What is meant by availability? Give an example.
Availability of information refers to ensuring that authorised parties are able to access the information when needed. For example, the availability of medical records.
What is meant by unauthorised access? Give an example.
The breach of computer systems, networks or databases. For example, a hacker infiltrating the system.
What is meant by accidental loss of data? Give an example.
Could be caused by hardware malfunction, software corruption, human error and natural disasters. For example, a storm cutting off the system in the middle of working on it.
