What does Auto-scaling do?
It auto-scales the amount of EC2 instances depending of demand
What does rightsizing do?
It’s picking the right size of an EC2 instance so you can auto-scale more granuarly
What are the X different types of reserved instances?
- Standard reserved instances: reserve capacity of a particular instance type.
- Convertible reserved Instance: reserve capacity while keeping flexible in choosing what instance you use
- Scheduled reserved instances
Reserve a particular instance time on specific timeslots
What are spot instances?
These are instances that are only available when AWS has a lot of unused instances available.
Therefor Spot instances may start / stop on unpredictable times
How can you use Lamda’s to reduce cost?
Lamda have no idle cost and therefor its good for SERVERLESS or EVENTDRIVEN workloads
What does S3 storage Lens do?
Looks at all your storage and advice you what kind of S3-tier you should use?
