Duties of a MOH
- Conduct polyclincs
- School medical inspection
- Supervise immunization
- Supervise the work of rural hospitals/ central dispensaries and maternal homes which do not have medical officers
- Surveillance
- Outbreak Ix and Mx
- In- charge of all activities which he plans and direct
- Is responsible for discipline of his staff
- Supervises and controls the work of the entire personnel
- Surveying the area and prepare the programmes of work based on them
- Health education
- Presides at staff conferences
- Prepares and forwards reports- weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ yearly
- Carries out research and scientific Ix
- Maintain diaries ( his and his staff)
