A

Moist wound environment

Hydrocolloid dressings and hydrogels

Use of soap discouraged to avoid drying wound

Systemic antibiotics if evidence of surrounding cellulitis

Consider referral to tissue viability nurse

Surgical debridement may be beneficial for selected wounds
