Give an example of an insider pressure group

A

BMA (trade union for doctors in the UK)
-They won the judicial review which overturned regulation that gave the UK secretary of Health & Social care the power to suspend the payment of pensions benefits to a doctor charged with criminal offences, but not yet charged.
-High status and wealth makes them powerful

What is an outsider pressure group?

A

Not closely associated with government and largely excluded from political contact.
Concentrate on mobilising public support to influence government. INDIRECT
