An example of a pressure group with a high level of public support
What is direct action
Physical damage to property and disruption to raise awareness
What is the trade union congress
A gathering of many pressure groups
What is an insider group
Parties who are invited into the government to talk
What is an influence
The way pressure groups try to pressure the government
What is public support
Often help pressure groups become more successful in passing bills etc as it pressures the government (they don’t want to ruin their reputation)
What is common interest
A group of people who all want the same thing and want to make a change
What is an outsider group
They are not invited into the government meaning they have to take direct action to get noticed by the government
