Chondrosarcoma
malignant tumor of cartilage cells
Symptoms of Chondrosarcoma
Tenderness over the site of the bone tumor
Dull pain from the area
Increase in severity of pain indicative of rapidly growing lesion
Neurological issues may be present with vertebral lesions
Muscular atrophy; decreased ROM
Chordoma
rare primary bone tumor caused from remains of notochord
malignant
Symptoms of Chordoma
Pain, paresthesia, motor changes can occur but rare
Giant Cell Tumor
rare, expansile osteolytic tumor made up of many giant cells. benign, but locally aggressive, seen at end of long bones
Symptoms of GCT
Clinically silent, once large in size pain in area of tumor. REG FLAGS: burning, pain at night, radiating pain, change in bowels
Osteosarcoma
malignant bone tumor that weakens and destroys bone tissue, begins in osteoblasts
Symptoms Osteosarcoma
Pain in bone that may come and go, may be worse at night
Pain increases with activity, may cause limp
Swelling in affected limb
Aneurysmal Bone Cyst
rare, benign, expansile lesion of bone most commonly found in metaphyses of long bones, more common in young females
Symptoms of ABC
Pain, swelling, pathological fracture, neurological symptoms, deformity
Ewing Sarcoma
children, young adults, malignant tumor usually round small commonly in long bones
Symptoms Ewing Sarcoma
pain with a mass
fracture at site of tumor
Metastatic Prostate Disease
spread of cancer from one area in the body to another
Symptoms of Metastasis
night pain, intense pain at rest, unexplained weight loss, bladder outlet, uretral obstruction, hematuria
Osteochondroma
benign tumor that consists of bone and cartilage, abnormal cartilage growths on bone surface
