- convention
- conduction

what is convention cooking
Convention cooking involves hot air or liquid transferring the heat to the food as it moves around it. (poached eggs)
what is conducting cooking
Conduction cooking involves a food product being placed directly on a hot surface which transfers heat and then cooks it
EXAMPLES: frying meat in the frypan or grilling it on the BBQ
what is radiation
Radiation cooking involves the heat being transferred to the food through heat waves and light waves
These waves transfer heat by shaking water molecules within the food product. Cooking or reheating a meal with a microwave is an. Example of radiation cooking
Example popcorn being cooked in the microwave
