Differentiate faith from believing and trust.
Faith is a personal relationship with God (knowing, loving, and following Him).
Believing is an act of having faith. Our faith is manifested in our beliefs.
Trust is relying and having confidence on God.
What are the characteristics of Christian faith? Explain each.
- Total and Absolute
Our lives must be totally surrendered to God as a sacrifice. We ought to follow Him wholly. - Trinitarian
We commune with God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. - Loving, Maturing, and Missionary
Love must manifest in us through maturity and service. - Informed and Communitarian
The more we know God, the more our communion with Him will deepen. - Inculturated
It must be our culture, a part of our daily lives, the words of God.

Explain: God is the principal author of Scripture.
It was God who worked in the lives of the real authors whom He entrusted to write His Word. The Holy Spirit was in those real persons who acted as authors.

Alexandrian Canon or Septuagint

Palestinian Canon
-the canon accepted by Jews today

The Palestinian Canon has 7 books less compared tot he Alexandrian Canon.
What are deuterocanonical books?
These are the 7 books not included in the Palestinian Canon that are included in the Alexandrian Canon. They are called apocrypha (unaccepted canon) by the Jews.
What are the books in the Hebrew Bible?
The Hebrew Bible is called Tanakh or Mikra. It contains:
