Prelim Flashcards
7 TERMINOLOGIES:
Batch testing
Parallel testing
Random access testing
Sequential testing
Open reagent system
Closed reagent system
Pneumatic tube delivery system
All samples are LOADED at the same time, and a single test is CONDUCTED on each sample.
Batch testing
MORE THAN ONE TEST IS ANALYZED concurrently on a given CLINICAL SPECIMEN
Parallel testing
ANY TEST CAN BE PERFORMED on any sample in any sequence
Random access testing
MULTIPLE TEST ANALYZED one after another on a given specimen
Sequential testing
A system other than manufacturers reagents CAN BE UTILIZED for measurement
Open reagent system
A system WHERE THE OPERATOR CAN ONLY USED the manufacturers reagents.
Closed reagent system
It PROVIDES POINT TO POINT DELIVERY of specimens to the laboratory and offered several advantages over specimens.
Pneumatic tube delivery system
Increase the number of tests to be performed, minimizes variations of result. Eliminates the potential error and uses very small amount of sample and reagents
Automation advantages
Liquid are pumped through a system of ________ tubing. Common reaction vessel or pathway, intervals serve, maintains the required temperature of the reaction ; color development.
Continuous flow analyzer
It uses the force generated by ________ to transfer. Placed in separate cuvets for measurement ; (1000RPM) uses acceleration and deceleration of the rotor.
Centrifugal analyzer
Capable of running multiple test at a time.
Mixture handled separately on its own reaction vessel. Most popular and versatile and required 2-6 microliter
Random access capability allows
Discrete analyzer
Used to measure analytes by measuring the quantity of light reflected by a liquid sample
Reflectance photometry
