Q

Why do people from working class have less access to top jobs?

A

One reason is because employers are looking for the ‘polish’ in a person this can be broken down to:
accent, the way they dress, manners and behaviour that present middle-class or upper-class status and are regarded as setting the standard of upper class.

Another reason is is people with middle-class/ upper-class backgrounds have been into prestigious schools which is what bosses are intrigued in as well as the confidence a person has due to the upper-class standard bringing that forward.

The case that working class people are very few in terms of access to professional jobs because family has had an impact as no one beforehand has been able to get into university and acquire those professions meaning it creates a barrier of getting into university due to the financial strain of loans and having to pay money back, so there is a fence that produces a burden to jump over.
