What does Paleoithic mean?
OLD STONE AGE
The first phase of the Stone Age.
Many were Hunters and gatherers, Nomadic, following animal herds, who used primitive stone tools.
What does Neolithic mean?
NEW STONE AGE
The last phase of the Stone Age.
Animals slowly domesticated, development of agriculture, and manufacture of pottery and textiles.

It’s the earliest example of wall painting. Found in Indonesia.

Fragment of cave stone paintings. Buried along fragments of typical stone age tools (blades, flakes, scrapers)… Not native to land, implies stone technology transported over long distance.
Found in the Huns Mountains in Namibia (southern Africa). Example of mobile art.
