white, creamy-looking, substance that coats the skin of baby while in uterus
first trimester
in 4-5 weeks: heart begins to form, arm and leg buds appear. in 8 weeks: takes more shape, there is a heartbeat and sex organs start to form. in 12 weeks: head bigger than body, nerves and muscles work together.
